What\’s a good alternative to UGG Boots with the same warmth and comfort?

I live in NYC and travel to New Hampshire a lot, so I need a really good, warm pair of boots for winter. I wanted to buy the UGG Sundance II, but all the fashion magazines say they are no longer in style, even though I always see people wearing them, anyway.

What is a good alternative? I know Minnetonka had some good ones last year, but I’m not sure if they’re in style anymore, either. I’m tempted to just not care and buy the UGG boots anyway, but they’re $200!!! If there is a cheaper, trendier alternative that is just as warm and good in the snow, please let me know.
